Does anyone know how to transfer an outlook address book from one computer to another? In my case, I am reinstalling windows and I saw that the address book is not included in the .pst that is the inbox backup. A google search recommended finding some file that doesn't seem to exist on my computer, although the address book is very real. Ideas?
NB: That computer is running vista.

I doubt that notepad will be able to convert it back into its original format with a big amount of formating. I'm just looking for a file format that can transfer from one computer to another.

Indeed there is such an option, but originally the export file, a .pst file, did not contain my address book. I finally found out that I could create a new address book that was directly linked to outlook in some weird way and transfer all my contacts from my original address book into that one, and then export the .pst file which now contained the addresses. Pretty weird, but at least now it works.

Try looking in the following location.
C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
This should contain these files

As of my last post, my problem has been fixed. Grambler, I looked at that location but it contained a .pst file that did not include the address book itself.

Did you export the PERSONAL FOLDERS including subfolders? If you did, that should include your contacts.

It didn't, because my address book was located in some kind of sub-address book. It was kind of weird but when I got the addresses back to the main address book, the addresses were exported with the "include subfolders" option.

Just export all folders and that should do it.
