Standing proud for England ?

Prince Harry, the bullet magnet ? has returned early from Afghanistan.
after his cover was blown on the Internet ,
Prince Charles has spoken of his "great relief" at the safe return of his son Harry, after 10 weeks with his regiment (Household Cavalry) on the frontline in Afghanistan. he was forbiden to go on active service , but pulled his royal rank and secretly went , so I give the lad respect for that ,
btw , all our royal princes do military service , it's a tradition for any possible future King of England  , as the King or Queen is head of the Military , not the Goverment as many belive , they only have them on loan , and if civil war broke out in England , Technicaly the military could turn against the Goverment, if so commanded , that may seem odd , but it helps to keep the fine balance of power ,in the UK ,

Yeah, my wife was telling me that Prince Harrry was secretly serving in Afghanistan.   uglystupid2  WTF???  I asked are you loony? Did you just here yourself?

Honestly Roco, your version makes a hell of a lot more sense.  evil6

And as kings used to go to war in the lead, or at least to cheer the troops on, it only makes sense that they would be in the military. I"m glad to see he made it back ok also. Really. And now he has true experience under his belt. It should help make better decisions along the road.

Thanks for the info bro.  Very Happy

I'm glad that hes back OK, but somewhat makes me uncomfortable. What about all the other guys and gals serving? This seems some what unfair but makes sense. He is part of the Royal Family

At least he has real war experience now. Perhaps when he's a ruler that he'll be more careful around situations that could cause a war.

hope you are both right , But,although our Brit Military is owend by the King or Queen , it seems the goverment can pack them of to wars
But I guess our ruling Queen must aprove of that,  did  the  Queen aprove of the Iraq war , ? nobody is saying , or won't ask,  and She will never tell ,
British Troops swear alegence to the Queen on signing up , not to the goverment or country , but she in turn swears alegance to the people , the country gets missed out ,  Laughing, and that is OK with us , as we have been footloose in the past , and may up sticks and arrive in your backyard , shocked

Yes Bro in days of old the kings lead from the front , untill tea was invented , several past Kings charged into the enemy , only to find his Knights  had turned back on hearing the shout "TEAS UP " ,

Oh heck. We have Tetley here also. Good deal. So thats Brit brand tea. Its a bit higher here, but not much. And yeah, considered to be of some quality here.

Very cute commercials.  Very Happy

Note the Redbush is very rare over here. But brunette bushes are quite common.  :haha:
