Diet cola's have aspartame. Stay away if you can keep it up. Really.

there is actually an appetite stimulant in all artificial sweeteners...think about it...know any skinny people that drink diet soda??

that's all i'm gonna say...hard to believe i know but that really is all i'm gonna say...

well 'cept...wow i had a great memorial day celebration over and over and over...wow what a ride!!! wish u all were here...partay!!!

My wife drinks the crap, and she 's like 103, I hate the fact she drinks it, but there's nothing i can do about it.

well get her to a doctor QUICK...she must have a tapeworm :haha: no i have a gf that drinks it too and i don't think she weighs 100 and she eats mass quantities of food...like starts her day with 6 eggs with all the fixins...but as a general rule this isn't the norm as far as those that consume artificial sweetners...

You know you know, so tell,so we know, because we didn't know there was something to know until you said you aint tellin what you know, but you really didn't say you knew anything , just giving the assumption that there's something to know, now you have us all wondering what there is to know. I don't know about any having an appetite stimulant.I think it's a physiological effect & any sweet real or artificial stimulates the appetite.Just something that's hard wired.
Personally I avoid anything with aspertame.If I had to use one it would be the calcium saccharine in limited quantities but none of the sodas use that.I don't know how good or bad Splenda will be time will tell.
I also need to check what tommie gorman posted on sodium benzoate.Since I think it's in a lot of things.

i can't find the original document that i read...recently...but this issue goes way back to the 80's...huge law suits and corporate coverups

what sequoia was saying lends to what i also say that when u consume an artificail sweetener ur brain thinks it's getting something that it ends up not getting so the crave continues til u eat enough that it's satisfied...which if u never consume that natural sugar...satisfaction will never come...

there...happy now...i spilled my guts

all i know is natural is better than chemical...that's what i know

Because momma in the last few months it appears they have erased what was written in Wiki about the diet coke. I was actually looking for where it said aspartame really was an appetite enhancer. But it no longer appears there now. Or I would have copied and pasted it up there. ^ ^ ^

very interesting stuff guys...see what i mean...how ever u wanna word it this stuff is made to make u want more...and it's all very undercover secrecy stuff...and a former employee of one of the companies was the one to blow the whistle...blew the cover right off the pot of the coverup...which u ain't gonna find a word on that guy anywhere anymore...all gone...but not the memory of what i read before...just stay away from this crap...pure can sugar or corn syrup won't hurt u and it doesn't cause diabetes...

and that's all i'm gonna say...so don't try to get me to talk...it won't work

I honestly do believe you guys. But, today I had a can of Diet Coke, and yesterday I did but never felt hungrier (felt the same). Don't worry I am done after reading this S#!t!! But how come my aunt lost 50 lbs drinking nothing but Diet Pepsi?? She eats healthy and everything but not all the time and still lost 50 lbs!! no joke. Also thanks Momma T!! I am done drinking pop, it's just we ran out of bottles water which we never do. But we did, and I hate drinking out fridge filtered water, it's dusty!!

Same way I lost 30 lbs in 30 days on a beer diet. Nothing to go with the beer, but I slept good.  evil

In a few weeks I had to start eating I was feeling so weak. So it all has its drawbacks really. Just do it the sensible way you are doing it and you will be just fine. And remember, if you diet with normal food you are more apt to stay on it. But short cuts like liquid diets, who will stay on it once they reach their goal  Question

The reason for a proper diet.  smiley

And always remember your viatamins.
