Drink tea, I have a jug I set out there w/ a few tea bags init, it only takes a few hours, and you have what you want. Not only that , I was forever drinking those lipton green tea 16 oz bottles, paying 5.99 a 12, now they want 6.99 and 7.99, the tea I make cost me something like .25¢ a gallon

tdawnaz ;I think we agree on the artificial sweetner for the most part. For me although I ocassionly consume sugar usually cane but beet sugar is OK too.I limit it because I beleive it is also bad for a person.
I don't think they have proven it does or doesn't cause diabetes.I think it brings it on quicker in susceptable individuals.
You said corn syrup but most of the sweetener in so many food products it almost impossible to avoid is high fructose corn syrup. This is being proven & will be even more to be a cause of obesity & not just from its calories.
So I guess we need to figure out how to make ethanol from it & quit putting it in food & drink. They are available but try buying a soda pop without high fructose corn syrup not including the artifically sweetened ones.In other words one made with cane sugar.I haven't looked but the only one I know of bottled in the USA is the limited production Dublin Dr. Pepper.
mudmanc4 ;I'm with you on the Sun tea.Mine costs a bit more I use 8 regular tea bags to a gallon & 10 if I want it stronger.I drink mine iced & unsweetened.Maybe some lemon occassionally.
I know green tea is supposed to be good for you but I always found it has a weak tea taste to me.I usually use Lipton orange pekoe.

Why would this happen?! This morning I weighed myself after I used the restroom and such. I then weighed myself at 244.2! Ok, I then get excited that I lost another pound. Now, I eat a bowl of Special K for breakfast and then helped my mom carry groceries in. We decided to weigh ourselves, I now weigh 241.6! I tried 5 different spots. I now weigh 241.6. I am not upset, I am happy
but confused. Why did my body do this?

did u pee or eliminate anything including changing clothes or shoes...or even the way u stand on the scale...changing the way u stand on a scale can change ur weight by 2-3 pounds...i always tell people stand up straingt don't look down and i'll tell u what u weigh...makes a big difference on paper

Ok, same thing today?! I only keep weighing myself because I want to know what I really weigh! Today went to restroom, and weighed 243.8! Ate breakfast, DID NOT use restroom and weighed myself 241.6! My mom said same thing happened to her, she weighed herself when she first woke up and weighed 140, then she now weighed herself again and now says 137.8. What's going on? What would the true weight be?

Are these electronic or mechanical scales. The mechanical can be a bit touchier.
I always try to weigh myself once a day at most. And always in the morning first thing. That way I always compare apples for apples. By doing different times you are changing it is all I know. Just no more than once a day. And the moring is best becasue things will be their most constant. No matter what.
Your being a worry wart.
Your doing fine.

Electronic scale. I am not worrying, I just want to know my real weight.

huny ur weight is a number...for me i weigh 125ish...urs is 240ish...2-3 pounds either way is norm for me...it's just a number (like age...just a number...i'm 55 but not really n the way i feel)...i really don't weigh but about once every 6 months or so...but ur trying to reduce...so use a tape measure...weigh once in the am and measure these areas once a week...make a chart (and use body landmarks to make sure u the same way each time)...chest...belly...waist (where ur pants sit)...arms...thighs...
this is where u'll see that difference...remember that muscle weighs more than fat...so as ur reducing ur body fat thru exercise and healthy eating u'll be increasing ur muscle mass and tightening and toning...
example...true story...no joke...i had a young girl in front of me...i was verbally recording her weight...k now this girl was my size...she says "172" i laughed and said "no seriously, i need ur weight" she said "seriously 172" i couldn't believe it...so i weighed her...171...the deal was she said her whole family has dense bones and weigh more than they look like they weigh...but also she was rock solid...as she was a high school athletics instructor...
weight is a number...a tool...but not a guide...watch ur actual measurements at this point...if u went to a gym and got a personal trainer they would record ur measurements as well as calculate ur body mass index and ur percentage of body fat

you should never weigh daily, once a week is about right , and then only take the average over a month , Hey, carring the shopping will make you sweat , maybe unseen but evaporation counts too ! ,
anyone notice you dont pee much in the desert ? , but you sure loose weight ,
just like camels , the only time they pee is after filling up at the oasis , and the only sure sign they are full up with water
but anyway good going wyantm06 , just keep going , have you a ideal target weight ?
and when you reach it what are your plans from then on ? ,
today I ate a Mc.Donalds burger
. first in about 2 years , and no it wasn't that great , maybe I will go back next year
and now 15Lbs off my target weight of 180 Lbs , for a 6'2" guy ,but the weight loss is slowing now , but hell I am back into my 34 inch waist Levis , hell I hate throwing away good clothes

Yeah I do about the same usually. In the summer my smaller clothes get jealous of not being used since last, so I lose weight to give them a work out. And then the fall clothes start in on me again about 6 months later too. It never ends.

and if i wanna breathe when i'm dressed i need to just go with the flow and get a size bigger...
