So at night time would be best. After I am done eating for the day. Sounds right to me.
Exercise is loke eating it should be done at least 3 hours before bedtime .Except for sex.

Btw Coknuck , remind me not to get into a fight with you ,
you are certainly in fine shape there
That was Coknuck at 40 so a few years back.

Also if you really want to loose weight cut your self back to 1200 calories a day until you loose the weight then start eating again in moderation
Coknuck unless a person is too light to need to lose weight 1200 cal is too low
as I posted above based on BMR.A person really exercising a lot might get by with 1200 cal because the exercise would help keep their metabolism up.
wyantm06 I calculated your BMR based on 300lbs so you should consume 3272 calories a day at your current weight.

Wow I only been eating like 1,000 calories a day...Since I started eating less I can't handle nothing over that really.

Read some on BMR those calcs are from an older Nutrition book I have so it may have changed. But that is what it is supposed to take to keep your metabolic rate normal.I know that seems crazy but the more you weigh the more calories it takes.then as you lose you lower the calories.

It just doesn't make sense to me...If 1,600 calories is a pound of body fat, and I walk 2 miles on a treadmill and lose 420 calories how am I suppose to lose weight lol...

Here is a wiki link on it .Has a more current formula but it requires more information than posted. It will probably explain BMR better.

Well I am probably 300 lbs now...I finally just got a $800 Reebok Treadmill from Sam's Club. Like I said I bene working hard on it. So far today I ate a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios for breakfast. I probably won't eat lunch, I will just eat something little for dinner and then possibly a yogurt for snack. Does that seem to much trying to lose weight or is that to little? Btw I plan on walking 2 miles a day on the Treadmill between 2.3-3.0 MPH and a 6.0 incline. Does all this sound fine? That's what I usually eat for breakfast anyways a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch or Honey Nut Cheerios. Then I usually eat nothing for lunch because I don't have time for it because I am working so hard at my job. I usually come home and eat dinner...Then something healthy for snack. Then I do the Treadmill. Sorry for blabbing on, I just want to know if that's fine.
Try your hardest to not skip any meals especially lunch. You may not realize it but when you skip meals you will get hungry and eat more later and if you eat a huge dinner or a late night snack that is too big or too filling it defeats the purpose if all that food sits in you when your heart rate is low and your body is far from active while you sleep. I always thought I needed to hustle and work out hard to loose weight and you don't have to. To me, I just combat my hunger in ways I know how like eating a healthy snack between meals. I usually have my snack between 2 or 3 o'clock in the afternoon because that's when I get hungry. If I don't have something small I am liable to eat bigger portions at meal time when my eyes are bigger than my stomach. Let me tell you I can make a healthy meal become a fattening one by the sheer serving on my plate if I'm hungry enough lol. I need to still retrain my thinking that food is good and I have to stop eating and be hungry to loose weight. If I can train myself to think of food as an energy tool that I can use to manipulate my hunger and my energy levels then I can control food and it not control me. I would replace cinnamon toast crunch with a more organic cereal. Like I said earlier combine your carbs with fiber has been sooo helpful for me! The weight falls off this way at least for me. If cinnamon toast crunch is your guilty pleasure than keep it in your diet so that you don't feel like you are without. I began this quest to loose weight last July and I busted my a$$ then to start loosing weight but to be honest I couldn't keep up that pace of not eating hardly anything and exerting so much energy. I had to do the things the way I do now which I listed in my last post. If you get caught up in working so hard you WILL get burned out. I know for a fact I would probably have gained it back had I not switched to a more easy going healthy diet/lifestyle with easy going exercise. The way I look at it I want to be able to maintain what I am doing now until I am an old man. I also recommend switching between cereal and oatmeal for breakfast. I know I hit a wall at 290 lbs for 2 and a half weeks I lost no weight and I caught myself weighing myself everyday. That is unhealthy and I had to tell myself to stop doing that because my body was just going through a phase. In that case I stop weighing myself for a while and then I switched from cereal in the morning to oatmeal for protein to jump start my metabolism.

the 1,600 isnt just making fat , a lot of it is used in normal body functions and repair , even asleep you are burning calories ,
1,600 calories seems on the low side for a healthy working male ,
BTW, destructionfever's reply #11 and 20, is impressive and on the right track IMO, 111Lbs lost in around 8 months , and he seems to sticking to it , without a problem , and also he has found a healthy way of eating ,
2,500 cals per day is the normal recommended daily amount for a average working healthy male

Lol I know not to do it RIGHT after eating. I just mean in general I shouldn't work out until I am done eating for the day and my tummy is settled ha.
end of day is not good also, working out then will send you to bed hungry and will disturb your sleep , just leave the workout for an hour or so after eating ,
also you need an hour or so after a work out for the body to return to normal , and clear out the lactic acid that accumulates in the muscles , notice all pro athletes warm up before and warm down after the event

Um I buy these boxes of chicken quesadillas at Sam's Club. If I eat one a day for lunch. It says it has 240 calories, and like 30% trans fat. Is that really that bad? Or do you think I would stil be able to eat one of these for lunch a day?

You have done really well , it's an easy thing to think I should try that , (I think that way often )
but to get off you butt and do it , takes some doing , and you have my respect for doing so ,
for me , well anyone know how many calories are burnt while pounding a keyboard while eating a cheese sandwich and drinking coffee with milk and sugar ? yeah, I am doomed I guess ,anyway
I guess it time for my daily work out , I am just going to open the back door, and let the dog out for a run ,

Flame broiled chicken sandwiches are a better option in the freezer section at Sam's Club. They are more filling and have lower trans fats than the quesadillas. Also, they have really low fat and low sodium canned soup that is awesome. It's the Progresso 99% fat free. It's got beef barley and chicken noodle and it's very filling! I usually have two chicken or beef wraps with some lettuce for lunch. As an alternative to the wraps I have a chicken or beef sandwich toasted with light mayonnaise and lettuce. I ALWAYS have a salad with lunch. If I splurge and have that soup I mentioned with lunch I skip on the bag of chips. I never skip the filling salad. I'm a big guy so I can get away with soup sandwich and salad. But not the extra chips on those days
If you want good produce Aldi has quality produce for dirt cheap prices. They also have a kick booty fit n active line of food products and condiments that I recommend. We usually buy groceries in two trips one to Sam's Club and one to Aldi for produce and fit n active snacks.

I live in Hopewell, PA it's about 20-25 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh. Go Steelers! You lost some more weight way to go man! January of 06 I weighted my scale which goes up to 399 or 400 lbs and it didn't register so I had to be over 400 lbs at one point. but my official weigh in when I started was 384lbs. Hit me up with a friend request on xbl if you want to game. Also, what games you play online?

Atm I play CoD 4, and sometimes Guitar Hero 3, Halo 3, Madden 08, and SOON Rainbow Six Vegas 2 which I love the Rainbow series. Yeah thanks, I am going to stick to my diet and workouts. My goal is to lose 50lbs by end of summer. and my main goal is to be around 200-220lbs then turn rest into muscle.
