mmmmmmmm slimjims...yummy Smile

Myself I'm about 15 pounds over what the "weight chart "says I should be .I can knock that off with about a month to six weeks of Atkins.I don't stay on Atkins all the time .I don't need to some do if they are going to keep their weight down.

what ever works best for u Smile

but like i tell my oldest son when he starts eating tons of protein and fat..."i don't wanna hear no whining down the road when u find out that u blew out ur kidneys and pancreas with all that protein and fat and ur on dialysis and have to take glyburide or insulin for the rest of ur life...it's ur life tho and momma loves u...just hate to see u put ur eye out with that just to spite ur face"

What I'm finding on this is if a person already has some kidney disfunction the excess protein can be a problem even then with proper monitering it might not be.

Very often I am asked if eating the amount of protein required of a bodybuilding diet will lead to kidney damage. This FAQ will answer this question and hopefully put all of your fears to rest.
A. Fact is that there are no studies that have ever shown a high protein diet causing kidney damage in persons with normal kidney function. Only people who already have a pre-existing kidney condition need to be concerned with keeping their protein in check.

Erik Castle, M.D.
High-protein diets are generally well tolerated by healthy adults. But a dramatic increase in protein-rich foods may be dangerous for people with liver or kidney disease because they lack the ability to get rid of the waste products of protein metabolism
I didn't find a problem about protein "blowing out" the pancrease.
Even with High protein suposedly increasing pancreatic cancer risk .I don't believe the studies have been done with low carbs & high protein but with high carbs & high protein .You know the old "meat & potatoes"diet.Did you know potatoes actually metabolize faster than white sugar & cause a higher insulin spike?

Ok, time for a update Very Happy...As of this morning I am 252. I been eating 3 meals per day and doing 2 miles on the treadmill each night. One problem, I am already getting the excessive flap...How am I supposed to get rid of the flap after getting to my weight?? I don't want to do surgery or anything. Anyways, my goal is 200!! and then build muscle on to the rest of it. Hopefully I can do 200 by the end of the summer.

Thats a very bad idea. Never loose weight, then try and add muscle after. Always go for muscle before fat because you will gain the weight in muscle faster then you can loose the fat.

You should never do that because it doesn't work. It takes twice as long to gain the muscle when you do it that way.

Well no I don't mean just go all lifting to gain as much muscle as possible...I think I am pretty built as it is honestly. I am just pretty much aiming for weightloss...and when I am done I am going to add a little weight lifting and still run 2 miles a night. I love working out now.

You should be doing the weight lifting now. It will burn the fat faster, and build more muscle mass much faster. You should be doing it with everything else that you are doing.

Yeah, to bad I can't lift weights or haven't been able to for 2 months. I got bad rotor cuff and I was told no to lift anything except for like a bottle of water basically.

How am I supposed to get rid of the flap after getting to my weight??

this is a tough problem...simple solution that works for some...take a soft cotton tshirt and cut it into a continuous strip about 6-8 inches wide...

dissolve 1/4 cup alum in 2 cups of warm water...add 4 cups of mineral water...and 1/4 cup natural sea salt ...warmed...not heated...on the stove til it all dissolves...no crystals left...save in a jar in ur fridge...u will only use a little to moisten ur cotton strips...

next is the lube...in a bigger bottle or jar...mix...(and this my friends is my secret recipe...miracle lotion...put it on a burn before u go to bed and u'll see what i mean)
vit a and e lotion (st ives is good)...4 oz
vit e oil...pure...at least 28,000 iu...2 oz
aloe vera gel...get the pure stuff...natural...it's clear not green...4 oz
corn huskers lotion...4oz
...mix well...

k...

put ur cotton strip (s) in a ziplock bag enough strips to fully wrap around the body part that has loose skin...and enough of ur liquid to moisten not saturate...let set to room temp...or 10 sec in the microwave (no longer)

now take ur lotion and slather and i mean slather ur loose skin...and wrap in ur cotton strips (around and around...) but not tight...next wrap in one or two layers of saran wrap...now do ur exercise routine...do this every other exercise day for 2 weeks...then tweeks off...2 wks on 2 wks off...but use the lotion/lube everyday...

i got this from a friend that owns a body wrap salon...for the last 30 yrs...well except for the lotion...that's mine...alum can be harsh on sensitive skin...if it is for u...just add another cup or so of mineral water...til it doesn't irritate u...

sounds like tanning leather...huh?? that's what it reminded me of

How old are you wyantm06 ? The older you are the less elasticity and regeneration there is in skin.  oh so nerdly!

Much the same a baby can heal so much faster than an 80 year old. Way faster.  wink
