I am at 217.6 this morning. I was wondering, since I don't like using creams or any types of lotion on my body. Do you think that them Vitamin E pills will work just as good as the VitE oil?

no...the idea is to stimulate the underlying tissue...but u should be taking them internally...so many benefits...

there is also a cream called mederma...it's for scaring and stretch marks...and also works great on fine lines on the face...u can buy it over the counter...

as with women trying to reduce the stretch marks on their bellies and shrink the skin up...the rubbing and massaging with the oil helps to stimulate circulation in the capillaries...directly...in the first couple of layers of the skin...but ur so young...u'll be surprised how fast ur skin is gonna go back even if u did nothong...but get that blood flowing in there and it will happen much faster...now if u were my age...well the results wouldn't be so great but it would still be possible.

now u could if u don't wanna use so much vit e on ur skin...u could...massage vigorously and deeply til ur skin has a nice pink glo...but there again it works better and ur fingers move more fluid if u have some sort of lubricant...

as for ur weight...omgosh...that is so fantastic...17 lbs from ur goal...i can't tell u how proud we r of u...i'm gonna make a chart...just from the figures that u've told us...or a calandar...u should be so proud of urself!!

I think they work as well & agree with tdawnaz on taking them too.
Now that you are getting close to your goal maybe adding some core exercises for the abdominals might help tighten the loose skin in that area.
I prefer some of the yoga ones but there are many abdominal core exercises so find some you can & will do.Almost any would be better than none.
Find some that target the lowest of the abdominals usually these will workout the rest except for the lats "love handles".So do some for those too.

For abdominals situps and this other one I have been using is to sit in a chair and lift your legs straight out and hold for 1 sec each. Try doing 10 to start. Then work up to 15 at 2 sec holds. It has been helping a 49 year old guy.  azn

there is this one video that i have and even my granddaughter loves to do it too (she's 7) very gentle...but deep...and is not likely to strain any joints if done properly (i have joint issues in my neck back and shoulders)

it's called yoga pilates...my fav Smile

omgosh tommie i do these too...in my computer chair...so u work too much?...at the office all day??...no time for excercise???...well work those abs while ur sitting at ur desk...do this...sit on the edge of ur chair...lean back like ur gonna take a nap...put ur hands behind ur neck...(to start leave ur feet on the floor toes up heels down)...now curl with ur stomach muscles only about 3 inches (it's a very tiny slow movement)...ur shoulders will stay on the back rest so there is no back strain...so (to repeat myself)... curl with ur stomach muscles about 3 inches and hold for a count of 5...relax (do 5-10-20...increasing as u get stronger)...as u get stronger lift ur feet off the floor and hold while u curl...as u get even stronger go ahead and pull ur shoulders off the back rest of ur chair as u do each curl...
alternative is to sit same position but draw ur legs up (til ur knees r level with ur shoulders) cross ur ankles and do ur abominal curls (this works another set of muscles) again very tiny movements done very slowly...

now if u do this at work be prepared to share the love cuz anyone seeing u will want to know what ur doing...tell them to go get their chair and do it together Smile i love this cuz it doesn't hurt my back...if it hurts ur shoulder wyantm06 u canhang on to the edge of the chair...just don't use ur arm muscles to compensate...

Hi,

I used to have pretty bad stretch marks and red scars around my belly region ever since I gave birth to my three kids.I had tried Vitamin E oil and cocoa butter which a number of people had recommended but unfortunately it didn't seem to work too well. My Doctor had even suggested that I go for a Tummy Tuck. I then recently read an article about a lady who supposedly got rid of her stretch marks using a particular cream. I tried it and it worked really well. It took a number of weeks but my stretch marks soon faded away. You can read the lady's article at the link below.

I prefer the old style yoga as the slow controlled movements are something like taichi .So the benefits are also similar.Supposed to be good for balancing your energy .
Pilates does use yoga type movements in some of the Pilates exercises but the speed is more like calisthenics.A lot of Pilates was also developed for Pilates exercise equipment.
There is a Pilates exercise chair out now that is not too expensive.

wow cholla ur losing ur touch...took u a long time this time to come in and contradict me...where ya been?...musta been sick...maybe u need some exercise...hehe :haha: ...but seriously...
nope ur wrong on that one...sorry...but way wrong...u probably have never done either or u would know...

this is called Yoga Pilates...and it's the best of both...yoga's slow controlled movements for balance and energy with Pilates type exercise for toning...no calisthenics at all

You guys who run on a treadmill should try running outside or on a track. If you're not used to running outside, try it and compare it to running on the treadmill, there is a world of a difference. On a treadmill, you don't have to carry your weight forward so you aren't working out your core muscles that keep u upright therefore ur not burning as many calories as possible.

i got into running about a year ago through my college roommate who did cross country in high school. I've been running dedicated 4x a week for over 10 weeks. I used to lift weights but never stuck with it. Now i run 2.5 - 3.0 miles 4x a week and do some basic weightlifting the other 3 days of the week. I've lost a little over 15lbs in the 10 weeks i've been running on a schedule. I'm 5' 10" and started this summer at over 205lbs and am now just under 190lbs. I have a big frame so i'm not trying to lose too much, my goal weight is 185. Only 5lbs to go grin I plan to keep on running and eventually do a 5k, 10k, then half marathon. I also take a multivitamin, flax seed oil, and a stimulant free fat burning pill.
