Normally I get 550+. Something wrong here.
Running Linux (Debian Sid) . Never had this trouble with Windoz!

Download Connection is:: 3692 Kbps about 3.7 Mbps (tested with 24319 kB)
Download Speed is:: 451 kB/s
Tested From:: http://testmy.net/ (Main)
Test Time:: 2008/03/22 - 8:23am
Bottom Line:: 64X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 2.27 sec
Tested from a 24319 kB file and took 53.961 seconds to complete
Download Diagnosis:: May need help : running at only 77.08 % of your hosts average (videotron.ca)

 Welcome to testmy.net frankzen.

Thats the first time I have ever heard of someone running a developmental version of an OS, and complaining about it. If you don't like something about an open source OS, then change it. If you know nothing about the code in which they were written, your gonna have a real rough time fixing it.
