ok, i happen to open msconfig....at the WIN.INI tab i saw "Annie". 

What the hell is "she" doing inside my PC?  Anyone has similar experience

When i disabled "her", my PC seems getting a lot faster especially during startup.

i don't have it. all i have is:

[MCI Extensions.BAK]
[Mail]
[MSUCE]

 Appears to be something for a camera, But I don't think so after looking elsewhere.

 Has to be malware.

  I searched quite a bit, there is a big ? as to exactly what this is, so be warned thats all.  I'm interested to see what your outcome is.

My XP Home PC has the Annie entry also but I do have a Nvidia card and several video editing programs. I just unchecked the entry months ago using msconfig and everything seems to be working OK. so are all those with [Annie] using Nvidia cards ?

BTW, cb am usin an a4tech cam, one thing, my winpatrol found something named BIGDOG.exe but then i blocked it from runnin during startup.

Roco, am also usin an NVIDIA graphic card.

well if MJ reckons annie is OK , thats good enough for me , but if he said Joe was OK , I would be worrying 

I am using two  Nvidia 7800GT in SLI on a 6 month old install of XP Home , no Annie

for the meantime that i didn't find solutions to completely remove it, i just disabled [Annie] in msconfig.

Hi guys , ANNIE is a mystery to me , I have 5 computers I can check on , only one has Annie , some have Nvidia some ATI graphics cards ,web cams,? most have logithech web cams installed at some time ,
but the computer with Annie has had only Logitec vid.cam installed now ,
but did have a A4 cam instaled a long time back , and since removed , 
Annie seems graphics related , and disabling it make no differance as far as I can see , the internet seems full of confusion on ANNIE ,
so I guess the first up with the full story , will be hero of the day
