Thats because dallas will go through 2 extra switches for most. I went from 11 hops in Houston to 13 hops in Dallas.

And I think we have proven that the shorter route isn't always the best.

My hops went up by 6 but my ping went down by about 10 ms

Blunted 2 thats because you are going over above net. They tend to have a lot of hops, no matter where you are coming from.

Looks like it does not matter what server I am on , I pretty much get the same trace & ping on either server. That Comcast [crap ]

Just did a speed test. This is what happen every day between 9:00 am to Midnight. Comcast SUCKS [ 8000/768 Plan ]

i have no problem at all with Comcast =) pings stable, speeds consistent all the time, nothing to complain about here.. on 10/1 with powerboost-- 30/2


Download Speed: 24276 Kbps (3034.5 kB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 1465 Kbps (183.1 kB/sec transfer rate)

I live on the East coast, Lots more people ,lots more traffic. It used to be good and stable, little over a year ago it went to S#!t. Just too many people on one node and now Comcast added telephone on the same node, it just can't handle the traffic..
