granpa, indeed I am still having problems. I have tried the ip renew option. Or I should say I believe I have done it correctly. If you would give me step by step instructions on how to do that. The computer in question is running XP. The Vista computer does not have a problem.

Let me try to explain how my system is hooked up.

HN7000S goes to a hub or switch. It has a input from the 7000 and then 2 Ethernet cables come out to each computer. Now there is one strange thing. When I ask Vista to map my network it shows(see attachment). So maybe it is a configuration issue?


I have tried to attach the screen shots. I have not been successful. I will try to post separately.
