Here's what I just now got  Very Happy

Not my ultimate all time best score... but I think it's more than just pretty nice.  This is with my 12/1 (w/ PowerBoost®) plan with Cox Communications.

Share your current speedtest results in this thread to show what you're pulling on the new server.  I'm curious to see if everyone out there is getting the nice clean and accurate scores that myself and everyone that I've talked to have been reporting.  I've said it over and over in other topis but I never get sick of saying it... ...This new server seriously kicks ass!

Check out the performance of the new SCSI/SAS drives

Code:
root@testmynet02 [~]# hdparm -tT /dev/sda8

/dev/sda8:
 Timing cached reads:   13668 MB in  2.00 seconds = 6838.46 MB/sec
 Timing buffered disk reads:  346 MB in  3.01 seconds = 114.78 MB/sec
root@testmynet02 [~]#

Speeeeedy.

This is my midnight to 9: 00 am speed test when Comcast is not overloading the node. It was done at 5:08  am. I will have to do another test when I get home after work to see what I can get on my 9: 00 am to midnight test.  If I am lucky I will be able to get 6000 Kps on the download test. Upload test usually  stay about the same around 1200 Kps to 1500 Kps. This is on a 8000/768 with powerboost plan from Comcast.

Fluke. They must have had down time somewhere for me to be able to test normal, and get a good ping to tmn inside the planet. Like someone else's server being restarted. At least thats what I get out of it, doesn't make it true. Either way, thats close to my normal download speed, as if i were actually d/l ing something.

2funny  :haha: I know that they arn't going to laugh at me, but I was laughing at myself pretty hard when I sent the first post without the code in it. I am very impressed with the speeds you people get, and if I was doing this from my own Custom built Dell XPS at home on my cable ISP I bet I could get right up there with you all, but.... I just moved down here to SC and I don't have all my stuff with me yet... So people, let me just say, hopefully soon I can get some REAL scores right up there with you all! lol and Thanks again for making me feel so at home here, I like this site alot so far and I am already telling all my geek friends as well as a few of my "biker" geek friends about it! See ya all real soon, take care, your friend LizardLady   grin
