Is there anyway that a topic can become read-only after it is dormant for a specified amount of time?

That is possible I believe, but problems can arise with a topic that was locked for age...

If the person who started the topic decides to come back 2 or 3 months later with either the same problem or wanting to say thanks or such, and can't do this, they aren't very happy... there is other reasons but I can't think of them off the top of my head...

OK u guys forgot about the  AOL TopSpeed Technology go fast as 5x than Dial up Laughing Laughing thingy. I have Verizon 3m/768 now but cant get rid of that service they waived my this months fees and giving me another month I called them like  3 months ago to cacell that sh_t They still charging me and I didnt know about it it lol since I had the software uninstalled. But after I checked my Credit card. I called their telephone service The Lady start to blab about how dangerous virus are and spreading to cpus and how completely AOL gives me virus protection. I told them Yeah I got that and FIrewall protection with my Verizon. 3 Months ago I called them and said they will give me 1 Month free but If I dont call them bak to keep AOL Broadband they will cancell my service. I didnt call they still charged me for two months. They ripped me off #$%^&*(
I know what you mean, when I was cancelling aol the lady kept me on the phone for atleast two hours,I tried to tell I wasn't intrested but she kept going and going like the energizer bunny.
