I have the 8600 gt video card. Reallly want to amp it up some. Thought about the 8800 gt card. Your thoughts, and heck links to a decent one if ya would or could. Video cards just change so much, never know which one to go with. Darn things. Getting my pc box ready for farcry 2.  Oh its a pci-e card.

What is your price range, power supply, and motherboard?  FarCry2 requirements.

3DMark Vantage and Expreview say, that the 8800gt out performs a 9600gt by about 13%.  While the 8800gt costs about 20% more ($180 vs $150) then a 9600gt.  At about $160 is the Radeon HD 3870 which depending on the game will either beat or lose to a 9600gt.  Also note that the 9600gt SLI out performs a more expensive HD3870X2.  I have seen the Palit 9600gt as low at $112 after rebate on newegg.

The fastest path on a race track is one where you turn the least.
Example of a Hyperplane: a three dimensional plane in the fourth dimension.
RoadRunner advertised = (10Mb?/1Mb?)  Cap at = (10.24Mb/1.024Mb) Best = (9808kb/976kb)  Avg. = (8000+kb/900+kb)
