Developed in the 1970s by the Mikoyan design bureau, it entered service in 1983 and remains in use by the Russian Air Force as well as in many other nations. NATO's reporting name for the MiG-29 is "Fulcrum",
the latest Mig is the 35,

Btw you can hire a Mig-29 for a personal flight ,
so I am not sure it was Russian, maybe some trouble being stired up there ?

I believe it was reported by Sky News it was a Russian MIG shooting down a Georgia UAV. I am not sure of that though.

nice find Tommie , not sure on the Miss, they often do that , but she has the female equivilent to a "Sir " in the UK , (knighted )
but in my old age I kinda get more excited by the Mig-29 , aircraft have always been my downfall , I nearly lost the current G/f 5 years back , On the first date I took her to the flying club , got distracted and involved in moving some Gliders, (storm brewing )  she walked off and took a cab home  shocked, .............yeah I don't fly anymore , but we do go to the club for meals occasionaly ,  Laughing
BTW I still think something ain't right in the vid , I see Russia is denying it was their aircraft ,
and a lot of Mig-29 are now privatly owned , Georgia (not in the USA) could have hired one  but where the missile came from would be anyones guess , . also I cant see Russia wasting a expensive misile ,when canon shot would have done the job on a slow drone , just guessing on my part ,

 2funny 2funny, hell man,  I lead a sheltered life , never saw a naked female till I was 18y old , and that was with the RAF air sea rescue , we used to do a routine beat up and down  the south coast
and always turned over a nudist colony ,  being the newbie guy on the line (bait ) ,  I got lowered into an all female nude B-B-Q , I was redder than the charcol ,I got a  a dip in the sea on the way back to cool me down ,  Evil or Very Mad  good innocent days and no regrets , but I had a hell of a lot of catching up to do ................ 2funny
to get back on topic I once got a seat in a USAF F-15 Eagle but only static , notice the similarity to the Russian Mig -29 ?
