It mainly computer-wise since the computers I have tried them on were Compaq computers with Pentium 4 processors. Firefox 3 now uses less amount of memory compared to #2

Running an AMD Athlon XP2500+ Barton   No problems at all with SP3.

No, the problem is that HP installs the drivers for both intel and AMD on AMD machines, and then something obviously goes wrong. The blame's at HP for being exceptionally lazy (one image for both intel and AMD systems? Hell no.).

you would think that the images used for the install do not just vary by the manufacturer of the cpu.

with the different mobo, gpu, cpu, and all else drivers available one would think that an image to be used to preinstall a given system that was ordered would be altered to contain the most current drivers available for that specific configuration, no?
