hi
i dont know if i can ask this here or not but I was trying to install a cam and no way, it will not install.
turns out there is no VGA driver listed in d/manager
i went to intel and downloaded one but no way. critical error. something about extreme graphics.
is there anyone out there who can tell me if there are generic vga drivers that i can install or what is the solution to the intel one.?

My device manager say the VGA is 82865G graphics controller --the chipset is 82865G\pe\p\gv\82848p processer to i\o controller -2570 what driver can i use to make this work? knuppel2

Have you installed the software that came w/ the cam?

The extreme graphics is the integrated graphics memory, If you need to , maybe goto windows update and it should shoe it there.

So the software wont install ?  Did you look at the requirements of the cameras to see if you had enough video memory? They shouldn't take very much.

this is what it say about the error i got...but there doesnt seem to be a resolution...

When trying to install the Intel® Extreme Graphics Driver on an Intel® 82865G graphics controller-based system that has an AGP video card installed, this error will appear. This happens because the integrated graphics of this chipset are disabled when an AGP video card is installed. You should not install the Intel 865G Extreme Graphics Driver on a system that has an AGP video card installed.

Intel 865P/PE chipsets
The Intel® Extreme Graphics Drivers are not intended for systems based on the Intel® 865P/PE chipsets, as these chipsets do not feature integrated graphics.

For more information:

Intel 865G chipset
Intel 865GV chipset
Intel 865P chipset
Intel 865PE chipset

This applies to: Intel® 82865G Graphics and Memory Controller Hub (GMCH)

You have to get the drivers from the maker of the video card that is installed in the computer. Who made the computer that you have. What is the model number.

Is it a laptop or desktop. You have a link to the manufacturers web site.
