I thought that was what retirement was about. To save for it. Not to make the government richer. We do that in our working years. An email. Bad Gov. - More Stupidity in Congress - Speaker of the House- Nancy Pelosi
Thought you had heard it all? Not quite!!
Adding a tax to your retirement is simply another way of saying to the American people, "You're so stupid that
we're going to keep doing this until we drain every cent from you." That's what the Speaker of the House is intending. Read below...............
Nancy Pelosi wants a Windfall Tax on Retirement Income. You aren't going to believe this. Madam Speaker Nancy Pelosi
wants to put a windfall tax on all stock market profits (including Retirement funds, 401Ks and mutual funds)!
Alas, it is true - all to help the 12 million illegal aliens and other unemployed minorities! Boy, are we in trouble... This woman
is frightening. She states..." We need to work toward the goal of equalizing income in our country (this is a fundamental aspect
of a communist system and not a free society with a free market) and at the same time limiting the amount the rich can invest."
When asked how these new tax dollars would be spent, she replied: "We need to raise the standard of living of our poor ,
unemployed and minorities. For example, we have an
estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in our country who need our
help along with millions of unemployed minorities. Stock market windfall profits taxes could go a long ways to guarantee
these people the standard of living they would like to have as 'Americans'."
How about simply deporting the illegals and skipping the tax and make it easier for people to start and run small businesses
so that the poor will have a more fair chance to earn an honest living.
This woman is out of her mind!
To me it sounds like there is no reason to get ahead in the first place. If all I am gonna do is give it away. While the others just play. Havent they heard the story about the grasshpper and the ant? The Ant and the Grasshopper
In a field one summer's day a Grasshopper was hopping about, chirping and singing to its heart's content. An Ant walked by, grunting as he carried a plump kernel of corn.
"Where are you off to with that heavy thing?" asked the Grasshopper.
Without stopping, the Ant replied, "To our ant hill. This is the third kernel I've delivered today."
"Why not come and sing with me," said the Grasshopper, "instead of working so hard?"
"I am helping to store food for the winter," said the Ant, "and think you should do the same."
"Why bother about winter?" said the Grasshopper; "we have plenty of food right now."
But the Ant went on its way and continued its work.
The weather soon turned cold. All the food lying in the field was covered with a thick white blanket of snow that even the grasshopper could not dig through. Soon the Grasshopper found itself dying of hunger.
He staggered to the ants' hill and saw them handing out corn from the stores they had collected in the summer.
Then the Grasshopper knew:
It is best to prepare for the days of necessity.
