anyone know how to reset cmos on hp pavillion laptop....kid got into bios and set password...

Look on the sides of the notebook for a really small pin sized hole. There is usually one, and that is for resetting the notebook.

If not then they are correct you will have to take it too a service center because they are going to have to take the notebook apart to reset it. IDK how comfortable you are taking a notebook apart, they are not that hard, but if you where to do it you would just need to get too the battery, and pull it to reset it.

And i'm not talking about the notebooks main battery.
