We have been running "take back the light for the past 2 years ",, and naturally being British we pay a disposal tax when buying a new one

most of our cfls come from Holland , also the incandescent light will never fully disappear ,
as the FL efficientcy is very low in sub zero temperatures , if you can get them to strike ,
FL's are not new as the article said they have been used in offices and factories by the billions for the last 40+ years , and now suddenly it is as problem ????, only if you want it to be I guess ,
BTW, in the UK we have been advised not to use CLF's for lighting the stairs , as in cold weather they take several minutes to reach full intensity ,
