Hello.

I just installed a wireless N router for my Comcast cable, and purchased a wireless N D-link DWA 130 USB modem for my PC.  Im basically a computer idiot and I would like to know what I should do to fix this.  My laptop at least gets decent speed from the same spot where this usb desktop is, but this desktop refuses to go anywhere. I realized, I thnk at least, that most of the problem lies in the fact that my USB is version 1.0. So I then went and ordered a pci card that will give me 2.0 usb ports which will speed things up considerably.  However, other then THAT aspect, what can a computer layman do to speed things up... I mean... I read through a lot of posts here and I dont know that nuts guide and things, seems real complicated, and also I want zero, I repeat zero chance of screwing up my computer even for one night. Is there a program I can can download to speed things up for newbies, you know, one that has no chance to ask me really technically details that if I enter wrong will screw up my computer.... Or is there a semi-newbie layman guide? like that tells me the top 10 things I should do that will probably give me a at least modest connection.  I mean, Im not talking about the baby FAQ's... I did that stuff, like shut off unused USB ports, reinstalled drivers, installed new versions of drivers, checked for spyware etc...  I am beyond that point, but not at the point of where I want to go ballistic on the machine.  Well enough said, here are my sad stats.. Keep in mind this is wireless though.
