It's so funny to get results like this knowing I am on the 6000 tier.

Thats because of powerboost. It only lasts for a little bit then your speeds drop down.

On 100+MegaByte downloads I get 7-8meg speeds. evil

All Comcast tiers were doubled when they rolled out docsis 3.0
6 Mbps -> 12Mbps(provisioned rate is 13 to ensure that you get at least 12)

8Mbps -> 16(provisioned rate is 17.6 so you get at least 16)
