So, I'm downloading mandriva linux to dual boot it on my desktop with xp pro. i prefer KDE 4. but just curious to see what you guys prefer.

gnome w/o a doubt, although kde has come a long way.
I suggest that you do it straight outta the box strictly text only

i actually like text installs better. just seems more complicated (its not really that bad though) but it makes me feel like a powerful nerd

definately. i prefer KDE4 i used to install with gnome...but now i just prefer kde...who knows maybe next time i'll end up back with gnome...

i reinstalled mandriva 2009 with gnome interface...now sometime this week im switching back to kde...not sure ....just get bored sometimes...
