Is there any free program to convert AVI to ISO.  I bought a HDD camcorder and it records into an AVI file and I would like to convert them into ISO so I can burn them to DVD

You don't need to make an iso to burn the video files to dvd.

You can burn them as is and view them on a dvd player that supports avi.

Like this one.

Or convert them to standard dvd format and burn them with dvd authoring software.

You should have got some sort of authoring software with the camera.
