Hello guys.
I was reading the tutorial at http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-12222 for DD-WRT on WRT54G series. but I could not guess that it would be find to install DD-WRT on WRT54G2.
is that good. and would it be OK if I go with it?

DD-WRT is supported on the WRT54G2. You will have to Google it to see what needs to be done to install it on that particular router. By the way welcome to the forum. Welcome!

This page should help you configure it how you want, but I warn you it's not as simple as on other WRT54G models.

I would recommend the Tomato firmware but I'm afraid it isn't compatible with your model.
