I have two identical Acer Aspire laptops

Both have their own DSL cable plugged into the DSL port

One system tested on Firefox and IE8 gets 3290 /480  or 4450/485

The other gets 720/436 and thats as fast as I can get it

Both have Avast AV and both are new and clean, with all online scans and programs for spyware and Viruses showing clean, Windows Firewall

Can anyone point me where to look and test tonight?

Thanks

J

Do they both have the same bios version?  Do they both have the same chipset updates, not windows, from Acer?
