Test Results:
Your Internet port 139 does not appear to exist!
One or more ports on this system are operating in FULL STEALTH MODE! Standard Internet behavior requires port connection attempts to be answered with a success or refusal response. Therefore, only an attempt to connect to a nonexistent computer results in no response of either kind. But YOUR computer has DELIBERATELY CHOSEN NOT TO RESPOND (that's very cool!) which represents advanced computer and port stealthing capabilities. A machine configured in this fashion is well hardened to Internet NetBIOS attack and intrusion.

Unable to connect with NetBIOS to your computer.
All attempts to get any information from your computer have FAILED. (This is very uncommon for a Windows networking-based PC.) Relative to vulnerabilities from Windows networking, this computer appears to be VERY SECURE since it is NOT exposing ANY of its internal NetBIOS networking protocol over the Internet.

I have ALL of the latest Windows 98SE Updates!

hey mdv_forever and welcome to the forum Smile

you need to clean up abit

download Dr.Tcp http://www.dslreports.com/front/DRTCP021.exe

open it, make sure all is set to default and make sure all fields is blank, if you see a value, use delete key and erase them, now click apply and exit

download and install cablenut http://testmy.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=1013.0;id=64

open cablenut adjuster and click delete cablenut tweaks and click save to registry and reboot

now do a new tweaktest and post URL adress

Hello and thanks for the responce, Razz

Here is the link to my last test,

http://ttester.broadbandreports.com/tweak/block:2666353?service=dsl&speed=1.5&os=win98SE&via=normal

I reinstall the speedguide tweak for win98sepppoe

Also my connection went down and i was able to speak to a line tech and he told me that because of the limitation of the 1.5mb that I subscribe to that i would not get any speeds faster than 1.1 or 1.2mb. To get any faster I would have to subscribe to the 3mb level and then i would only get about 2.5mb because of the tcp, atm overhead

However, if  you know how to get me to 1.3-1.5 i would be very happy indeed! :haha:

there is no way for me to help if you start reinstalling tweaks when i told you to clean up, follow the suggestions from previous post again, that was meant to clean up so i could see your settings as default, do not reinstall that speedguide tweak

TCP options string = 020405ac01010402
MTU = 1492
MTU is optimized for PPoE DSL broadband. If not, consider raising MTU to 1500 for optimal throughput.
MSS = 1452
MSS is optimized for PPPoE DSL broadband. If not, consider raising MTU to 1500 for maximum throughput.
Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 8712
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 8712

RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
511104 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of Cool
255552 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
127776 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)

Your RcvWindow limits you to: 139.392 Kbps (17.424 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
Consider increasing your RWIN value to optimize TCP/IP for broadband.
MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON
Time to live left = 118 hops

TTL value is ok.
Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF
Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON
IP type of service field (RFC1349) = 00000000

If this is not what you have requested please forgive and explaine again and i will try to comply

its free

when you see result, copy URL adress from your browser and paste it here

Well I made myself pingable but  I  was unable to allow  ICMP echo request. So I bypassed my routerand went straight throught the ADSL modem. But still unable to allow ICMP echo request.

Here is the first test w/ the router connected

And here is the test w/ router disconnected

Well, it does not look good to me. I'm still hovering in the 76-78% of my cap!

Would the "DSL PPPoE 3000 768.zip CCS file help in my case? I saw a post where the file looked liked it help that person who had the same cap as mine. I would like to give it a try.
