In reality you may have a third one also. As europe seems to be going a whole different direction than the US and we are getting closer to joining the rest of north america. It'll be a three way split.
OR will we include South America as a fourth again, as they have tons of oil also?
I am so confused.
Oh yeah, fuel prices suck. (to be on topic)

From where i sit, the world is aligning itself into two divisions, You have on one side, Russia, Iran, Cuba, and several other countries, against the rest of the world. Id'e do best leave the rest to the reader to complete there own search as to the details, and religions involved.
Hmmmmm I kinda guessed you would say Russia as one ,
we never had the big fear of the Bear , we never had the Reds under the bed thing ,
and indeed we still have close connections with Russia ,
not sure of the Iran direction , seems America is pulling Israels strings there ?
as Iran and Israel were best of friends a while back ,
I think the next big one will a deepening friendship between Russia and China,
Russia for it's vast sources of gas and oil , and China's production ability ,

I agree Tommie Europe is indeed going off at a tangent , just chasing the oil I guess ,
either way fuel ain't going to get any cheaper,
our next Goverment in 18 months, have pledged to cut fuel tax (78%) every time the price increases , but will put it back if the price drops , so it just stays the same at the pumps , so it will stay around $9.50 USD for a US gallon , and folk over here are cheering
,
I think South America is a bit of a sleeping beauty , it's time isn't ready yet ,

actually our ties mostly are religious in fact. Pretty much since they are Gods chosen people. I guess you could say good luck charm. As long as I've known we have been there for them. Well most times.

Now that would make sense for sure, an old established one with a superdeveloping one. And both being somewhat communistic.

Why aren't you folks getting any from Canada?

Now that to me is great news. Really, cheers bro. At least there was one good silver lining to the high prices after all.

No doubt on that one. But I thik the;y are headed where they are, and its just time to become what they are gonna be. As soon as they figure out what power they really have at thir disposal. The economic power.

Could be something to do with what Russia said today about military action if the rest of the world protects themselves by use of radar to detect missiles . So your gas will be going up sooner then later , sorry. I say this due to speculation of possible hostilities around the world.

One has to wonder about that one. We ship out to russia from alaska. And then the price goes through the roof to the UK.
I know, self inflicted taxes, just kidding.

Thats a new way to look at it, paying to run the open highway. So will it be Autobahn status soon? 190 to nothing. Now I am looking forward to it again. $120 to fill the truck and mower gas.
