...i thought it could be an acid flashback, but it is true: Saw regular unleaded Self-Serve at a no-name station ("Gas-n-Go") in Roxbury Heights-Boston for $2.29...but this part of the city , it is recommended to bring an aluminum bat for close encounters..

$2.54 ~ Olympia, Washington
This year the Washington state Senate narrowly approved a new gas tax to raise $8 billion for transportation projects, mostly a Seattle-centric package.
After this year’s gas tax increase of 3 cents(now 31 cents, (are we the highest in the nation, yet?)), there would be subsequent increases of 3 cents in 2006, 2 cents in 2007 and 1.5 cents in 2008 -- taking the tax to 37.5 cents per gallon.
But, wait ~ We are about to vote on Initiative 912 ~ to repeal our crazed legistrators gas tax.
Many voters support I-912 because they don't like Sound Transit's $2.4 billion light-rail project (the ongoing drama over the proposed Seattle monorail).
Voters are also mad that Seattle wants to spend $4 billion to replace the Alaskan Way Viaduct with a tunnel, when it could be repaired for just $1 billion and $1.5 billion for six miles of new general-purpose lanes and ramps on I-405.
It's like everyone in Washington State has to pay for Seattle's commuter nightmare. I don't think so.

It used to be 6cents off the listed ( bilboard) price for using the Citgo gas card ( free, just ask for one ) . Now they got slick to get more customers and put the cash price ( 3 cents off the normal price if you use a credit card ) on the bilboard. Then when you use the citgo gas card, it takes 3 cents of the bilboard price , which in al actuallity is 6cents off. If you go there and buy gas using a credit cad instead of cash ( or the citgo card) it adds 3 cnts to the bilboard price.
For example.
Regular $2.57 pay with cash its = $2.57
Regular $2.57 Pay with citgo card = $2.54
Regular $2.57 Pay with credit card = $ 2.60
Hope that makes sense

edit: has it always been more expensive to use a credit card there???...and...does a debit card count as cash??

Credit, or debit still going to be 3 cents more. 3 cents more meaning the price their competitors are charging ;) They appear to be 3 cents cheaper then everyone else, but realy its only cheaper depending on how you pay for the gas

Zanesville Ohio: $2.39 a gallon But I get 50 cents off this month from my Kroger Plus Card, so it's really $1.89 a gallon, and I drive about 7 minutes to and from work.

The Federal Tax of 18.4 cents per gallon is collected in all states in addition to any state or local taxes on gasoline sales.
Now, if only I could convince "Pai Tu Much" the gas station attendant I'm really a foreign diplomat and I don't have to pay no stinkin' capitalistic money grubin' TAXES!!
I'ld have it back down to $1.986 ~ lol

i have been a foreign diplomat in the us and you pay the same price at the pump, you just get reimbursed for the taxes by the iirc state department.
so convincing the attendant don't matter.
