Hi RayRay
Sorry if I caused confusion in my post/rant ,
we do not have local tax in UK , the 2700 usd per year is a tax applied to
your house/apartment , basically anywere you lay your head at night,
for that money , you get your dustbin/trashcan emptied,
yes petrol is 6 usd per US gallon in UK ( tax inc.)
a room in a London hotel is around 162 usd for a night
a meal in a restaurant 72 usd
our UK gov. is worried that we have no tourist visiting London anymore
regards

For those of you in the Whitby - Oshawa Area (Ontario, Canada) I noticed on my way home from work tonight that the Pioneer Gas Station on Hwy #2 and Glen Hill Drive in Whitby has gas on for 80.5/L when all the other stations on the gas alley of Whitby has it for 87.9/L.
Doubt it would help many people here, but never know.
