thats funny unless theres something wrong with the site, i clicked the link to verify the speeds etc, came up with nothing. and i searched your username, and found nothing.

like i said, it could be an error with the site. not to mention i have never seen a cable connection go @ 8mbit from AU, especially a telstra cable connection, only dedicated leased lines!!!

Total records:678
Scores for NON-members are only kept for 2 months, if a score is not found this may be the reason. Member scores are kept for over 1 year.

maybe there not all thru moving..

It's very real Smile. In fact my connection goes faster. That's from an international mirror. Give me a local mirror and watch the speed! Smile.

Test run on 11/4/2005 @ 8:19 P.M.

Mirror: Optus
Test type: Cable

Your connection speed:

Kbps: 8789.3
kB/s: 1098.6625
Mbps: 8.58330078125

From http://members.optusnet.com.au/djalexm/speedtest/tools_speed.shtml using the Optus mirror in Sydney.

Update: Btw, it seems the record is working now, the database was being transfered from the old server to a new server.

hi, that s ADSL2+ capped at 12Mbps. i am please to to be trying your cablenut tweak. nut i have a problem sometimes, it s when i do the test, the speed results are different, i mean the connection doesnt seem to run as fast as everytime, dont knwo why ?!

f i tweak followed by ur calculation programme, what is the most latency do i put in, from the server of my ISP to my PC or from where to where, thanks!

adsl is alot harder to tweak then cable, but i can see your very close to optimal settings now Smile

a good value to use for calculating is 150 to 300 ms for all connections, in my version 7 of my tweaks i choosed to set TcpWindowSize and GlobalMaxTcpwindowsize to 44 x MSS thats 64240 for a MTU of 1500.

that seems to work very well.

I dont know what version of my tweaks your using, but i suggest you test the OOL 10000 / 1000 file and only adjust DefaultReceiveWindow. As a tumb rule it should be 1024 x your cap in kB/s

for you thats (12000 / 8 ) x 1024 = 1536000

thats a very large RWIN, and if you have packetloss your speed will be very inconsistant.

when i had a 10 Mbps cap i was using 384000 and that was optimal for me, you can try that aswell.

for determing the latency, look here http://thegamer.serveftp.com/FAQ.htm

but its many times better just to test, the measurment of a latency is almost impossible.

VanBuren Smile
