Heads up:

The Google Accelerator is either skewing the results at testmy.net, or else Earthlink uncapped my 768 DL DSL line in a big way (doubtful)....

This will probably screw up the average statistics...

Connection is:: 11244 Kbps about 11.2 Mbps (tested with 12160 kB)
Download Speed is:: 1373 kB/s

Bottom Line:: 201X faster than 56K 1MB download in 0.75 sec

Download Speed is:: 694 kB/s

Bottom Line:: 101X faster than 56K 1MB download in 1.48 sec
Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 59.46 % faster than the average for host (Comcast.net)

I wa just giving a heads up. I personally value the averages for the host, and extremely inaccurate results (whatever the cause) will skew the results for everyone.....

i think that its a cached test... it shouldnt mess up the average much, if at all...

I am contacting Google about this to see if they can give me any insite as to how their program works... so I can write my script around the problem.

Maybe they can add testmy.net to a don't cahce list or something.

I did a few more tests and they are all about the same..

I fully realize that the Google Accelerator is providing an inaccurate result, I'm just letting you guys know it's happening. The uploads aren't as drastic, but they are off as well. Adding it to the exclusion list should fix it I think...I love the site - Thanks for the excellent service !  Very Happy

Cool, I added a notice for now on the download test page letting people know how to disable it for this site.  Hopefully whne Google gets back to me they can tell me a more automated way to get this done Smile
