Smile Spy Sweeper is a very good pgm that should remove most anything concerning ad ware, the only thing I don't like about it is that it takes about 1/2 hour to run on my puter.......but it looks at every single file and is very thorough.....and it has found stuff that other pgms didn't find,so I always run 2or 3 pgms. Best of all is they are free pgms.......good luck:)

i know you said you ran spybot, but did you run it in the pre boot scan? that may help. it may get in there and remove the problem AND its reg entry because it hasnt been loaded up with windows yet.

I am going out on a limb here, and i  might be wrong, but worth a try, right?

I don't mean to correct anyone for posting in this topic but it is from 2004.I doubt if RaWDiZ still needs this information. If anyone does.
There is a registry fix for DSO exploit .The one I have is for a 9X OS.
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\0\1004=dword:00000003 delete the 1004 dword. reboot.

run prevx 2.0 in safe mode, or most any others, just make sure to run them(some won't run) in safe mode. To get into safe mode tap the f8 key continously while rebooting, Took me a lot of searching to finally find this out.

you can delete it with spy bot but when you reboot it will reborn.
DSO is a microsoft made tracker. The operation system will
regenerate it  at boot.
