If you are a “newbie” I wouldn’t even try “over-clocking” right now. I would first try to tweak your operating system WAY before you want to tweak your hardware.

Which Windows are you running?

Well I dont exactly want to overclock it seeing as how overclock means go over the average speed or whatever, its just that its running at 2GHz when its a 3000+

3000+ means 3GHz, or am I wrong?

Yep wrong Razz AMD doesn't rate their speeds like intel. For instance a Athlon 2500 runs at 1.83 GHz, or a Athlon 3200 which runs at 2200 MHz. Don't let Intels higher speeds fool you though, AMD's chips do more work per cycle, the 3200 is equivalent to a 3 GHz or higher Pentium. ;)

Yeah the sales person form the store that I bought my computer told me about the 3200 is equal to a 3GHz intel.

It can stil lgo faster than 2010 MHz (What its at now) right?
And klown talked about tweaking my OS, what will this do, and where can i find out how to do it?

I will assume (even though I don’t like to) that you are running Windows XP.

Run through those tweaks and then come back for more.
