My amd cpu is the 3100 32 bit. They say it can be overclocked to a 2.4 and the most I ever got was 2.1.  I tried to jump up my fsb through my bios and the highest I could get was 250. I use the k8v-x asus motherboard. I have read just about every article I could find through google. I just dont know how they did it and got there system stable. I run 512 megs of ram. I even tried to increase the voltage by .2 which with my bios is the only option. This is more of a learning thing for me. My computer is built for overclocking. 2 Huge fans which run my computer pretty cool. I run about 100 deg. The max for this cpu is 190 deg. Any Ideas?

I think you have to remember a basic rule in over-clocking; not every chip (similar) will over-clock the same way.

Im running 2 blocks of 256 ram. Not Sure on the brand. Was not real expensive. I belive it was 2700. I still have one open slot I will put a stick of 512 3200 ram into. I would think a gig of ram should be more than enough. I am hopeing or thinking increasing the clock speed of my chip some it should help with the preformance of my video card, or am I wrong about that thought?

If you want to help your video card you are going to have to over-clock your video card.
I would look into software tweaks and then hardware tweaks.

If you have an nvidea card get something called coolbits  - link - http://www.overclockers.com.au/techstuff/a_coolbits/ -- All you have to do is install it into your registry and in the nvidea properties there will be a new option to over clock. This is if you have an nvidea though I have no idea about ATI Razz
