Why would Adelphia call it "Northeast Promotion" if they were going to offer the upgrades to everybody?  That doesn't sound right to me.

the main reason its called the northeast promotion is thats where its first being offered. just because they call it the northeast promotion doesnt mean the rest of the states wont get it.

As of right now, adelphia is upgrading their systems in Maine. As far as I know the upgrade should go like this(i got a VERY knowledgeable tech one time)

Leesburg, VA(+surrounding areas)>PA(Bethel Park, State College etc...)> Areas of maine > Back to virginia> Back to PA and then the rest of the north east. All markets in the NE should be upgraded by the end of november is what I heard.

That's just sucks for everybody else in Central/West Coast U.S.  Isn't Adelphia supposed to be taken over by Comcast and Time Warner before Nov. anyway or later?

Sorry, I didn't mean to come off as rude.  A lot of other people have multiple choices for Broadband when my city only has one.  Its true a lot of other locations are in the same situation.  It seems most people want a faster upload, me included, but then I remember once we do get the upgrade...then we'll be wanting more speed.  Adelphia has been solid for the past 3-4 months and I couldn't be happier, but I'd like to know what's going on with Time Warner/Comcast.

I know, no offense taken. Take over should be starting to be seen by the end of the year, certain, high density markets first I assume.

Be nice if we were to get the Xtreme package before X-Mas, that'd be my gift...lol

Keep calling your local Adelphia rep. and push the issue.
