I just signed up for RCN phone, cable, and internet service.  They gave me a Mach 10 modem which is supposed to have has a nominal speed of 10MB/s.

Here's my stats (Awesome!!!).  Even higher that what they have advertised.  Here's two sample speed tests.

what's your uplaod speed?

whats the cost per month?

I might move to LA, CA soon I might able to get that.

Hi again everyone...
After three days of experimental tweaking with various programs, (using all Cablenut ccs files I could find, tried the SG TCP Net Optimizer, TuneUp Utilities Internet programs, Broadband Wizard, etc) I just wanted to share my highest stats with you other RCN users. But b4 that, congrats to JunkieXL; those are some AWESOME numbers, similar to what I was getting when the Mach10 was first implemented. Sure wish I could get it tweaked that high again! Anyway, here's the latest...

Connection is:: 4885 Kbps about 4.9 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB)
Download Speed is:: 596 kB/s

I should at least be over 100x faster than average and I'm about to give up. So Van, if you or any others have any suggestions (RCN users especially welcomed) to give me a boost, I would sure appreciate it!

I'm through tweaking! I've come to the conclusion that there is little more to do on the user end of things to try and boost this modem. Final stats are...

I guess I'm just going to have to be happy with the results here. If any other RCN users out there have any suggestions to make this thing fly, I'm listening, but I'm satisfied at present speeds.
