I have had absolutely no problem with my system and have had it for a year and a half now. From what I read I must be one of only a few.

That's because you've got a 6000 and he's got a 4000.

Anyone over 2 mb/s has a 4000. 6000 will never be able to get up there, unless it's burst speed on a small test.

I get slower results also. I've tried tweaking Firefox, but it only went up from 40 kB/s to 70.

This is an average speed( love that upload) Direc way is a reliable service and is better than dial-up.  As far as cable versus d-way no comparison  this is my last post with DirecWay as my provider my fifteen month contract is up and so am i  Adelphia ran new cable down my road and I'm the first to be connected. there is a god.  I'm sick of paying for a premium price for a mediocre service and the uploads suck
