Some computers just need to be tweaked. Because when I had the 5Mbps/768Kbps connection I would always do a speed test and get 3Mbps download but when I tweaked it I was getting 5.5Mbps download. Smile

No difference. So fios isnt any better than cable? Im thinking the interenet traffic in my area just wont allow me to get the 15 megs so maybe fios will be better. but im wondering if fios is a better connsction to the internet than cable or dsl?

FIOS is better. No shared connection, low latecy, and its Fiber Optics going throught your house. Smile
It looks like your connection was better without the tweaks.

I figured that it would be better. So im glad im doing the switch. But I orderd fios before i relized Cox did the upgrade but obviousely the way cable shares the connection fiber is better. Your tweeaks did help though i see a difference on certain sites now so ill do a test tonight and poost my results then. Once again thank you so much for your help!

FYI, I moved the thread here because the speeds and tweaks are currently related to your Cox connection and I didn't think it made sense to confuse any FIOS users.  We're already confused enough by the dizziness from the speed...  evil6
