Well, I've had Adelphia cable for a month now, and I was getting 4Mb download and today all of a sudden is down to 200Kb download. Advertised speed is 3Mb/512Kb

Anyone know whats going on?

BTW, I'm in Puerto Rico , but i think we use the Miami servers

talked to em. say problems in miami, makes sense, all pr adelphia traffic routed through there, say they're working on it. time will tell. i justr tested 66k btw. down. arghh.

wtf.. agaiN? -_-o....
my conection is slow for me too, the thing that bothers me was taht in the afternoon was fine, i went to work and now that i come to enjoy the isp im paying the pages load slow and all... geez..
i hope comecast come here or something soo adelphia and prtdsl get owned... -_-O!

Yes, there is a problem with Adelphia's Internet Service.
36k is basicly the max for standard service and it's like having bellsouth's lowest dsl service which i had years ago. I Hope they can fix the problem soon. feels like dial-up. lol
Suppose to be 4 Mbps Connection. At least the service is still working.

No , Its not suppose to have 4Mbps since the Advertised speed is only 3MB/256K for Puerto Rico Adelphia Power Link , so you cant complain if they lower it to 3Mb or 2.5Mb since speed are not guaranteed , to them if you receive 1Mb or more you are getting the service at 100%

I'm not complaining, my friend was wondering why his web pages where loading slow so i look at it and tested the connection for him. He doesn't download huge files, but i do at times, so i really notice the speed change.

When the Adelphia High-Speed Internet service was first installed, the speeds where normal.
I'm thinking maybe it's a service load problem or a cheap hub replacement until a new one is installed in his area. Sometimes the Internet Signal goes out too, so maybe it cause it a new service here for him. Got me. As long as it works most of the time he likes it anyhow.

far as i can tell the complete service outages are due to #^#$%^&#$& poor service by the %^$&$& power company that can't pull it's #%^$& head out of it's #%^$& ass long enough to keep power supplied to the whole island at once. just estimating for 2004 at my location the availabilty of power was around 96 percent. give me a #$^$ break. that is pathetic. so when the power goes down to equipment used by adelphia, of course your link goes south.
