Tommie, I do not run ccleaner. I do however use a couple other registry cleaners. They normally do not find much. I am not so sure that the speed test on this site is the issue since Toast.net also showed a higher than normal speed. I hope it is TCP Optimizer kicking in. On another note I also experience a problem with spell check. It gave me a error of page can not be displayed. Another try and it worked just fine.

Mine starts to show a box then just disappears. Tried multiple times. Also made a funny noise like small thud, but just tried again and like you it worked on second or third try. Thanks.

Well it looks like my speed test from yesterday have come back down to normal. I changed nothing on my system. Although this test if about 4 hours later in the day from yesterday.

Satguy, I am not surprised by your increase in speed after using a reg cleaner. It really does pay off to have a clean registry. You should also keep a eye on your defrag percent. I use Diskkeeper 8 to automatically keep my system defraged.

CCleaner is not just a registry cleaner, it's a good cache cleaner as well, and I think that's what he used it for.

Dude you need to work on your puter some. Try a TCP optimizer and do some cleaning. Have never gotten worse than 500Kbps at bad time of day. No tweaks. My grandma is slow but she is dead. Defragment and disk clean. But at the age of 169 I guess it is keeping up with you.(your profile). :twogun: :uzi: :ar15fire:

Really don't understand why yours is so slow, have you tweaked yours, or cablenuts, or TCP optimizer, or anything. Have noticed that all your posts are slow. Which modem and sat. Feel kind of funny asking you these questions. Has anybody tried to help you on your speed issues.
