I live in the North San Diego County coastal area, and Adelphia Internet service went down here around 2 PM PDT yesterday.  Service wasn't restored until about 6:30 PM.  This is the first down time I've experience with Adelphia since signing on with them in late March of this year.  During the outage, the indicators on my RCA modem indicated a variety of modes, but none seemed to make any sense until service was restored.  I don't know the extent of the outage nor what caused it.

they're probably getting ready to lay out the new extreme tier of service.

Either something huge went down or they're upgrading.  Dunno if it's extreme tier or not.  If it is, hopefully my area will be upped in the near future.  Good luck.
