we already have a board for "AT&T WorldNet Services" so i add a childboard in "AT&T WorldNet Services" board.

Thanks VB
Since all present Wildblue subscribers have their service thru NRTC members, their email addresses will be thru said NRTC members. Such as, my email is "
xxxx@lrec.org
" for
L
ake
R
egion
E
lectric
C
o-op. Wildblue subscribers have been posting their speeds on satellite internet forums, using Testmy tests, so I know they are here.
You won't see Wildblue addresses until the fall when independents are allowed to market the service.

;) I'm a recent subscriber to WildBlue....my installation has some teething troubles:
SMTP email server is troubled using OE6 or Thunderbird. Dialup backup for the Pro package needs a fix so I can log on and use it....IF I should ever need it.
Download speeds average about 200kB/s with bursts up to 350kB/s, uploads about 25kB/s. There is a problem with the uplink transmitter, low power, in my IDU that may be causing some problems. Tech support is working on the situation.
My email address is
xxxx@wildblue.net
since I am one of the few Florida subscribers outside of the NRTC.
The system has some bugs, but so did DirecWay when it first came on line, so in time I expect to get good solid service out of WB.

I have been using Wildblue for 6 months...Good service and FANTASTIC help desk although I havnt needed it much.
Im on the pro plan so Im am rated for 1.5 Mbps but according to testmy I get on averave 1.8 to 1.9 Mbps. Im not complaining.
uploads get a tad flaky at peak hours but I dont really care too much. It beats DirecWay down to the ground.
Having had both DirecWay is going to have to do something real fast or just give up n go away.
but please Def add WildBlue.

Wildblue's tech support service is second to none...the uplink transmitter problem has been resolved and down/up speeds are regularly 1.55Mb/s / 271kbits/s, Pro service. The only remaining problem is the SMTP server with MS OE6 mailer program. POP3 works very well, however. To stay running at top speed using email I employ another SMTP server, not Wildblue's. Fortunately it costs no extra since I have a basic dialup service for my grand-daughter and she doesn't use the ISP provided email servers.
Because of the downtime I suffered due to the xmtr power problem Wildblue adjusted my account for a prepaid month of Pro service along with compensation for my services as an impromtu beta tester....DirecWay NEVER did that!!
Anyway, for all intents, Wildblue is working very well for me and I look forward to at least a year's good service. ;)

Yes please add Wildblue. I have had it since Nov 4 and I'm happy with it. Some problems on my beam but all in all it's been good. I also have a @wildblue email account.

Is the policy that an ISP must utilize diverse BGP routing to be listed as a forum of their own? I realize that Wildblue is utilizing ATT bandwidth for their terrestrial backbone connections, but it seems odd that DirecWay and Starband are both separate forums (and not listed under their backbone connections) and yet wildblue is listed under their backbone connection when they are offering two-way satellite which is substantially different than anything else AT&T-related.
I believe it was stated that wildblue will have 20,000 - 25,000 customers by the first of the year, so while
substantially
smaller than DirecWay at this point they are already almost as large as starband.
Anyway, my vote as well would be to have a real wildblue forum that people can easily find. I don't think even any of us wildblue users would think to look for wildblue listed under ATT.

It has thrills and chills, and its very brightly coloured , and its very loud and its fun, for a while. Some people have been on the ride for a long time, and they begin to question - is this real, or is this just a ride? And other people have remembered, and they come back to us. They say, 'Hey! Dont worry, dont be afraid, ever, because, this is just a ride.'
