I've pushed mine up a ways before without problems...I'd say 10% OC is safe.. btw, do you know of a program that will read the card's temp? (if it has a sensor)

http://www.legionhardware.com/html/doc.php?id=345

there is a good start at what you can expect.. most of the name brand components (gigabyte, asus, abit) copy the reference ATI board exactly.. or add better memory.. you are going to need active cooling my guess would be.. take a look at the article... it should tell you what you are going to need to modify to get it up to the specs the got.

I'm running mine at 385MHz core, 230MHz ram (it's DDR for those that don't know, so about 460 effective)
There is a noticable performance difference, although I don't have a benchmarking program to test it for sure...

btw... what program are you using to OC?

btw x2... I have active cooling, although the card runs very cool without it... I have a fan on the core heatsink, and a heatsink on the memory on the opposite side of the card (just sitting on it...)

A note... don't push the RAM farthur... I got the great BSOD when I bumped it up a bit more, although it runs great where it's at (230)

I've been fine at 385MHz core and 230MHz memory... maybe I'll push the core higher but it's pretty nice there Cool

First rule to keep in mind is...There is no set rule when it come to overclock settings on vidcards!!! ;)
Each and every one will have different thresholds at where they start making artifacts, and memory starts to fail... ;)

For those that don't know where to get all these Freak'n TwEak'n utilities...here's the site!!! They hava all kind of great reviews, articals, and how to's for you TwEak'n needs!  http://guru3d.com/
