I have no idea how u guys are getting such great scores. I recently re-formated my hard drive and started from scratch. I ran all the regular programs such as ant-virus, spyware, adware, window washer, registry cleaner, etc. Then I downloaded cablenut and applied the appropriate patch. My connection STILL SUCKS!!! My uploads are fine but my downloads are horrible and I don't know why. Can anyone give me some advice please?

amc11890, your traceroute is really quick, your RR connection is fine.
This means that it is either something on your PC or with your router. I would make a direct connection (PC --> modem...be sure to reset modem and restart PC) and try another download test to see if it's the router. If it is not much better at this point, then you know it's something on your PC.
It could be:
-a firewall
-browser toolbars/accelerators/add-ons
-spyware
-bad browser settings/corrupt browser software
I think this should help you just to start.

s1,
I noticed you are on Brighthouse Roadrunner here in Tampa Bay, have you concidered upgrading to the 10/1 or 15/2 packages?
here's mine:

As you can see our's only differ on the first and second hops, my router and modem are those. My network is set up a little different. 4 computers connected through a Gigabit switch then the switch into the router.. etc.

To upgrade you'd need to be with all their services, and i think thats rediculous. I dont need 6 different brighthouse features when all i realy want is just faster internet
