Verizon wants its EV-DO in laptops, Dell, HP, Thinkpad
Sprint,  EV-DO expanding it's  3g highspeed towers in many cities..
the price wars is on, both will have reduce prices, Verizon highspeed expected to lower prices..

EVDO isn't currently deployed in very many cities and it is no where near the speeds of 802.11b much less 802.11g.  If they scale up the deployments and speeds, great.  However, it's going to take investment dollars from Super WIFI or whatever it's called these days.
