Even if it was running 15lbs of boost it couldn't hang -- and if it had more boost than that it wouldn't be able to hook up unless he had some special tires.

The stock HP of both cars is close... but the EVO wieghts less and is AWD this is why the Eclipse is 1 sec slower in the 0-60 and 1.3 sec slower on the 1/4mi even with it's nice 263HP.

But, I'm sorry with the work I have in my car it wouldn't even be fair against an Eclipse... even if it had 15k under the hood.  I put more HP to the floor in my car than the factory claims at the flywheel for the eclipse (and AWD has a CRAP load of drive train loss... like a ratio of 1.6).

I have been disapointed in the eclipse since the last generation... they need to go back to having an AWD turbo model like the old days.  At least have an OPTION for it!!!  If that was turbo AWD nothing could touch it, haha (then again if it was turbo AWD they would have sized the engine down a bit).  I'm a huge DSM fan by the way.  I have some friends with tuned 1st gen GSX Eclipses that would blow my car off the road.... ....... one good thing, you don't have turbo lag

I just got a brand new 06 GT convertable about a week ago. and it is very fun, espically here in south florida.

i had a 93 5.0 and that was a S#!t load of fun. if i would jump on that thing, it would crack your head back so fast your neck would hurt for a week.

Yeah those old 5.0's kicked ass... they sound like stock cars if you get an H or X pipe with Flowmaster...... too much fun Razz

defiantly way to much fun, i miss it, but the new mustangs are so nice, they are a completely differnet ride, but a very fast ride.
