wow "bro" halo 2 isnt on computer yet so wut mankes u think hes talking about hosting a game for a computer game? and 1.2mb up is plenty good for a full 16 player game. As my friend has optimum online, which is 10/1 and he can host a full 16 player game with all green bars and no lag.

Well considering you can't put up a dedicated server on halo2 , this post would be pointless unless you actually wanted to play with Anox. Sorry i don't play computer games , lol. :haha:

Uh, no, very few Halo 2 players have high uploads like that.  I have 256 upload running through a wireless router and I get picked as host sometimes, which means my connection is the best in that particular game.  I'd say the average for halo 2 players is 256 or 384.

actually getting pick as host has nothing to do with who has the best connection now. Now its whoever loads the map and game the fastest. a 256Kbps connection can barely if at all host a 8 player game, when i had 384Kbps upload and when i got host people always complained about lag.

Everyone usually has a green bar and nobody complains about lag when I host.  I still think the average is 256 or 384.

lol i have 786 and my xboxes suck so i rarely get host ne more. What a predicament, considering matchmaking sucks compared to games like CS or Wolf or UC

I dunno man, matchmaking got a lot better with the addition of team hardcore. evil6

BTW, here's an upload test:

::::::::::.. Upload Stats ..::::::::::
Connection is:: 254 Kbps about 0.3 Mbps (tested with 1496 kB)
Upload Speed is:: 31 kB/s
Tested From:: http://testmy.net/ (server1)
Test Time:: Sat Nov 05 2005 13:24:47 GMT-0600 (Central Standard Time)
Bottom Line:: 5X faster than 56K 1MB upload in 33.03 sec
Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 35.11 % faster than the average for host (conwaycorp.net)

Actually only part of that is true, but it has mostly to do with connection, if your xbox does not load a map in a particular stated time then, yes it will not pick you as a host, but there are few xbox's that can't do that (besides the ones that can't load the map, due to old dvd drives). Try playing the game on a 1.5/256 connection and a 1.2/1.2 connection on the same xbox and tell me which one will get host more often. With my sdsl I get host 9.5/10, when I had bellsouth extreme (3/384), i got host about 2/15...
