Today i talked to one of the higher ups in the sales dept. at bellsouth, "not a indian in india" it was the head of the sales dept. in the headquarters on Atlanta, Ga. and she told me that "it would be avaiable on November 16th 2005, that is the scheduled launch date, it may be delayed if they have service problems, but thats unlikely." She also said that not to call the main stream sales deptartment in india at 1-888-321-2375, because they would not have any information till the day before it is started. So hope fully this is finaly it, and we will all be at 6Mbps soon.

Wait and see, you may be surprised.  First off, it's not necessarily distance from the CO that matters, it's your distance from the DSLAM and BellSouth deploys a lot of DSLAMs at remote terminals.  If you were in fact 20kf from your DSLAM now you would not even qualify for Xtreme 3.0 so I'm guessing your DSLAM is in a remote, not in the CO.  You could be close enough.

bellsouth is very very very good at keeping customers loop length from a DSLAM to a minimum. I think I read 80% of their customers would be able to get Xtreme 6.0 or something like 80% are 8,000 Feet  or closer to the DSLAM. I read that somewhere, maybe it was on BBR.... i dont remember lol.
