Any information you give to testmy.net will be held with the utmost care, and will not be used in ways that you have not consented to. testmy.net does not sell, rent, loan, trade, or lease any personal information collected at our site, including membership forms or email lists.  testmy.net forums further employ a Private Message system so that members can contact you without having your email address released.  Your email address is never visible so even the email scavenging bots that are plaguing the internet today have nothing to find at this site.  If you do decide to disclose your ICQ, AIM, YIM or MSN messenger information though that is open publicly but is completely voluntary information.

A cookie is a small data file containing certain information and is written to your hard drive when you visit the website. A cookie cannot be read by a website other than the one that sets the cookie. Most cookies last only through a single session or visit.
Currently, testmy.net only offers cookies to registered users, in order to retain login information throughout user sessions. Browsers can be configured to notify you when you receive a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether to accept it. We also use outside Ad agencies to display default (unsold inventory) banners on our site. These ads may contain cookies that are collected by them, and we do not have direct access to such information. Please see the "Third Parties" section of this document.

We only use cookies to our registered users, only to retain login information. Also if you have selected a custom theme from our themes menu the way that our server knows what theme to show you is driven by a small cookie, that only contains information as to which theme you wish to be shown.

testmy.net maintains several email lists to keep members informed about breaking events.  We do not sell, rent, loan, trade, or lease the addresses on our list to anyone. In addition, we configure our list server software to refuse to divulge the email addresses of our list subscribers to anyone but authorized testmy.net staff, including other list subscribers.
